Assistant Instructor Bio

What year did you start training in martial arts?

I started training in February of 2015.

Was there any particular reason you started practicing martial arts?

My Dad had done it before in his youth and it had peaked my interest of already being an active person.

Favorite form and why?

Tiger and Crane is my favorite form at this time. I believe in training for the help of relieving stress, calming the mind, and defining a path for you to work on and push to improve yourself.

Why do you currently practice the style of Kenpo?

I currently train because it is a passion and my heart drives me. Even on the tough days. Kenpo is a down to earth, street smart martial art and not just an aerobic workout or the elite. The self defense techniques are practical and anyone can learn to protect themselves.

What do you love about teaching martial arts, kickboxing, or fitness?

I love teaching because I know that I am helping someone to better themselves and learn the art of protecting themselves from harm.

Two things most people don’t know about you?

I play the piano and work on cars.
